Product Overview
Recombinant human RAGE, fused to hIgG-His-tag at C-terminus, was expressed in insect cell and purified by using conventional chromatography techniques.
Description
RAGE, also known as advanced glycosylation end product-specific receptor isoform 1, is a member of the immunoglobulin super-family transmembrane proteins. It mediates interactions of advanced glycosylation end products (AGE). AGE/RAGE signaling plays an important role in regulating the production/expression of TNFalpha, oxidative stress, and endothelial dysfunction in type 2 diabetes. This protein contributes to the translocation of amyloid-beta peptide (ABPP) across the cell membrane from the extracellular to the intracellular space in cortical neurons.
