Product Overview
Recombinant human CD207, fused to His-tag at C-terminus, was expressed in insect cell and purified by using conventional chromatography techniques.
Description
CD207, also known as C-type lectin domain family 4 member K, is a type 2 transmembrane glycoprotein. This protein is used as a marker for Langerhans cell which represent the immature dendritic cells in the epidermis. Also, it internalizes endogenous proteins such as type 1 procollagen. Internalization by Langerhans cell is thought to lead to suppression of self reactions. CD207 meditates endocytosis of non-peptide antigens containing mannose, N-acetyl glucosamine and fucose that are expressed by mycobacteria and fungae.
