Recombinant extracellular domain (Met1-Met210) of human CD32a (P12318-1) was fused with a c-terminal polyhistidine tagged AVI tag at the C-terminus. The expressed protein was biotinylated in vivo by the Biotin-Protein ligase (BirA enzyme) which is co-expressed.

Description

This gene encodes one member of a family of immunoglobulin Fc receptor genes found on the surface of many immune response cells. The protein encoded by this gene is a cell surface receptor found on phagocytic cells such as macrophages and neutrophils, and is involved in the process of phagocytosis and clearing of immune complexes. Alternative splicing results in multiple transcript variants.

Molecular Mass

The recombinant human CD32a consists of 213 amino acids after removal of the signal peptide and predicts a molecular mass of 23.7 KDa. It migrates as an approximately 33 KDa band due to glycosylation by SDS-PAGE under reducing conditions.
