Recombinant Human FOLR1 Protein (Arg25-Met233), C-6×His-tagged
Product Description
Cat
IMP-10135
Official Symbol
FOLR1
Product Overview
Recombinant human FOLR1 protein (Arg25-Met233) with a C-terminal 6×His tag was expressed in Chinese Hamster Ovary cell line.
Description
The protein encoded by this gene is a member of the folate receptor family. Members of this gene family bind folic acid and its reduced derivatives, and transport 5-methyltetrahydrofolate into cells. This gene product is a secreted protein that either anchors to membranes via a glycosyl-phosphatidylinositol linkage or exists in a soluble form. Mutations in this gene have been associated with neurodegeneration due to cerebral folate transport deficiency. Due to the presence of two promoters, multiple transcription start sites, and alternative splicing, multiple transcript variants encoding the same protein have been found for this gene.
Expression System
CHO
Species
Human
Tag
C-6×His
Predicted N Terminal
Arg25
Form
Lyophilized from a 0.2 μm filtered solution in PBS.
Molecular Mass
Predicted Molecular Mass: 25.4 kDa
SDS-PAGE: 30-40 kDa, reducing conditions

Bio-activity
Measured by its binding ability in a functional ELISA. When Folic Acid-Bovine Serum Albumin is coated at 5 μg/mL (100 μL/well), the concentration of rhFOLR-1 that produces 50% of the optimal binding response is found to be approximately 0.4-1.6 nM.
Endotoxin
<0.01 EU/μg of the protein by the LAL method.
Purity
>95%, by SDS-PAGE under reducing conditions and visualized by silver stain
Storage
Use a manual defrost freezer and avoid repeated freeze-thaw cycles.
12 months from date of receipt, -20 to -70 centigrade as supplied.
1 month, 2 to 8 centigrade under sterile conditions after reconstitution.
