Product Overview
Recombinant human IL-10, fused to Histag at C-terminus, was expressed in insect cell and purified by using conventional chromatography techniques.
Description
IL-10, also known as Interleukin-10, is an anti-inflammatory cytokine. It inhibits the synthesis of pro inflammatory cytokines like IFN-gamma, IL2, IL3, TNF and GM-CSF produced by activated macrophages and by helper T-cells. This protein has effects in immunoregulation and inflammation and down-regulates the expression of Th1 cytokines, MHC class II antigens, and costimulatory molecules on macrophages. It acts on many cells of the immune system where it has profound anti-inflammatory functions, limiting excessive tissue disruption caused by inflammation. This protein controls the inflammatory response of macrophages by reprogramming essential metabolic pathways including mTOR signaling.
