Recombinant Human IL2RG Protein (Leu23-Asn254), C-6×His-tagged
Product Description
Cat
IMP-10545
Official Symbol
IL2RG
Product Overview
Recombinant human Common gamma Chain protein (Leu23-Asn254) with a C-terminal 6×His tag was expressed in Sf 21 cells.
Description
The protein encoded by this gene is an important signaling component of many interleukin receptors, including those of interleukin -2, -4, -7 and -21, and is thus referred to as the common gamma chain. Mutations in this gene cause X-linked severe combined immunodeficiency (XSCID), as well as X-linked combined immunodeficiency (XCID), a less severe immunodeficiency disorder.
Expression System
Sf 21 cells
Species
Human
Tag
C-6×His
Predicted N Terminal
Leu23
Form
Lyophilized from a 0.2 μm filtered solution in PBS with BSA as a carrier protein.
Molecular Mass
Predicted Molecular Mass: 28.2 kDa
SDS-PAGE: 40 kDa, reducing conditions
Protein length
Leu23-Asn254
Bio-activity
Measured by its ability to inhibit the IL-2-dependent proliferation of MO7e human megakaryocytic leukemic cells. The ED50 for this effect is typically 0.6-3.6 μg/mL in the presence of 30 μg/mL of soluble IL-2 R beta and 10 ng/mL of recombinant human IL-2.
Endotoxin
<0.10 EU/μg of the protein by the LAL method.
Purity
>97%, by SDS-PAGE visualized with Silver Staining and quantitative densitometry by Coomassie Blue Staining.
Storage
Use a manual defrost freezer and avoid repeated freeze-thaw cycles.
12 months from date of receipt, -20 to -70 centigrade as supplied.
1 month, 2 to 8 centigrade under sterile conditions after reconstitution.
3 months, -20 to -70 centigrade under sterile conditions after reconstitution.
Reconstitution
Reconstitute at 500 μg/mL in sterile PBS containing at least 0.1% human or bovine serum albumin.
