Description
The protein encoded by this gene is an important signaling component of many interleukin receptors, including those of interleukin -2, -4, -7 and -21, and is thus referred to as the common gamma chain. Mutations in this gene cause X-linked severe combined immunodeficiency (XSCID), as well as X-linked combined immunodeficiency (XCID), a less severe immunodeficiency disorder.
Bio-activity
Measured by its binding ability in a functional ELISA. When Recombinant Human CD25/IL-2R alpha Protein and Recombinant Human IL-2R beta Protein are immobilized at 5.0 μg/mL (100 μL/well), the concentration of Biotinylated Recombinant Human Common gamma Chain/IL-2 R gamma Fc Chimera Avi-tag that produces 50% of the optimal binding response is 0.250-2.50 μg/mL in the presence of Recombinant Human IL-2 Protein.
