Product Overview
Recombinant human IL4R, fused to His-tag at C-terminus, was expressed in insect cell and purified by using conventional chromatography techniques.
Description
IL4R, also known as interleukin 4 receptor subunit alpha isoform, is a pleiotropic cytokine produced by T lymphocytes. It plays an important role in immune responsiveness by regulating proliferation and differentiation of a variety of lymphoid and myeloid cells via binding to high affinity receptors. It markedly inhibits IL-1 production by highly purified normal human monocytes. It has been demonstrated to affect the growth of different human malignancies including pancreatic cancer cells. It plays an important role in Th2-biased immune responses, alternative macrophage activation, mucosal immunity, allergic inflammation, tumor progression, and atherogenesis.
