Recombinant Human MICB Protein (Ala23-Thr308), C-6×His-tagged
Product Description
Cat
IMP-9592
Official Symbol
MICB
Product Overview
Recombinant human MICB protein (Ala23-Thr308) with a C-terminal 6×His tag was expressed in Chinese Hamster Ovary cell line.
Description
This gene encodes a heavily glycosylated protein which is a ligand for the NKG2D type II receptor. Binding of the ligand activates the cytolytic response of natural killer (NK) cells, CD8 alphabeta T cells, and gammadelta T cells which express the receptor. This protein is stress-induced and is similar to MHC class I molecules; however, it does not associate with beta-2-microglobulin or bind peptides. Alternative splicing results in multiple transcript variants.
Expression System
CHO
Species
Human
Tag
C-6×His
Predicted N Terminal
Ala23 & Glu24
Form
Lyophilized from a 0.2 μm filtered solution in PBS.

Bio-activity
Measured by its binding ability in a functional ELISA. When Recombinant Human NKG2D/CD314 Fc Chimera is immobilized at 0.125 μg/mL, 100 μL/well, the concentration of Recombinant Human MICB His-tag that produces 50% of the optimal binding response is approximately 80-400 ng/mL.
Endotoxin
<0.10 EU/μg of the protein by the LAL method.
Purity
>95%, by SDS-PAGE visualized with Silver Staining and quantitative densitometry by Coomassie Blue Staining.
