Product Overview
Recombinant human NTNG1 (NP_055732.2) (Met1-Gly408) was expressed with a polyhistidine tag at the C-terminus.
Description
NTNG1 (Netrin G1) is a Protein Coding gene. This gene encodes a preproprotein that is processed into a secreted protein containing eukaryotic growth factor (EGF)-like domains. NTNG1 is broadly expressed in the brain, kidney, and other tissues. Netrins including NTNG1 are known to be axon guidance factors in the developing brain. It is involved in controlling patterning and neuronal circuit formation at the laminar, cellular, subcellular, and synaptic levels. The NTNG1 protein has an important role in the developing central nervous system, particularly in axonal guidance, signaling, and NMDA receptor function, and was a good candidate gene for Rett syndrome (RTT). They could be very important contributors to the genetic risk for psychosis.
