IMP-9323
Official Symbol
TGFB1
Product Overview
Recombinant TGF-beta1 protein was expressed in E. coli and purified by using conventional chromatography techniques.
Description
Transforming growth factor beta 1 (TGF-beta1) is a polypeptide member of the transforming growth factor beta superfamily of cytokines. It is a secreted protein that performs many cellular functions, including the control of cell growth, cell proliferation, cell differentiation and apoptosis. Many cells synthesize TGFb1 and almost all of them have specific receptors for it. It positively and negatively regulates many other growth factors. Also, TGFbeta1 plays an important role in bone remodeling, controlling the immune system, and shows different activities on different types of cell, or cells at different developmental stages.
