Recombinant Human TGFBR1 Protein (Ala25-Glu125), C-hFc-tagged
Product Description
Cat
IMP-9749
Official Symbol
TGFBR1
Product Overview
Recombinant human TGF-beta RI/ALK-5 protein (Ala25-Glu125) with a Human IgG1 (Pro100-Lys330) Fc tag at C-terminus was expressed in Mouse myeloma cell line.
Description
The protein encoded by this gene forms a heteromeric complex with type II TGF-beta receptors when bound to TGF-beta, transducing the TGF-beta signal from the cell surface to the cytoplasm. The encoded protein is a serine/threonine protein kinase. Mutations in this gene have been associated with Loeys-Dietz aortic aneurysm syndrome (LDAS). Multiple transcript variants encoding different isoforms have been found for this gene.
Expression System
Mouse myeloma cell line
Species
Human
Tag
C-hFc
Predicted N Terminal
Ala25&Leu34
Form
Lyophilized from a 0.2 μm filtered solution in PBS.
Molecular Mass
Predicted Molecular Mass: 37 kDa (monomer)
SDS-PAGE: 40-60 kDa, reducing conditions
Protein length
Ala25-Glu125
Bio-activity
Measured by its binding ability in a functional ELISA. When Recombinant Human TGF-beta RII Fc Chimera is immobilized at 1 μg/mL (100 μL/well), it binds Recombinant Human (rh) TGF-beta RI/ALK-5 Fc Chimera in the presence of rhTGF-beta 1. The concentration of rhTGF-beta RI Fc Chimera that produces 50% of the optimal binding response is approximately 0.05-0.4 μg/mL.
Endotoxin
<0.10 EU/μg of the protein by the LAL method.
Purity
>95%, by SDS-PAGE visualized with Silver Staining and quantitative densitometry by Coomassie Blue Staining.
Notes
Disulfide-linked homodimer
Storage
Use a manual defrost freezer and avoid repeated freeze-thaw cycles.
