Recombinant Human THBS1 Protein (Asn19-Pro1170, Thr523Ala), C-10×His-tagged
Product Description
Cat
IMP-9751
Official Symbol
THBS1
Product Overview
Recombinant human Thrombospondin-1 protein (Asn19-Pro1170, Thr523Ala) with a C-terminal 10-His tag was expressed in Mouse myeloma cell line.
Description
The protein encoded by this gene is a subunit of a disulfide-linked homotrimeric protein. This protein is an adhesive glycoprotein that mediates cell-to-cell and cell-to-matrix interactions. This protein can bind to fibrinogen, fibronectin, laminin, type V collagen and integrins alpha-V/beta-1. This protein has been shown to play roles in platelet aggregation, angiogenesis, and tumorigenesis.
Expression System
Mouse myeloma cell line
Species
Human
Tag
C-10×His
Predicted N Terminal
Asn19
Form
Lyophilized from a 0.2 μm filtered solution in TBS, NaCl, and Trehalose.
Molecular Mass
Predicted Molecular Mass: 129 kDa
SDS-PAGE: 135-165 kDa, reducing conditions
Protein length
Asn19-Pro1170, Thr523Ala
Bio-activity
Measured by its binding ability in a functional ELISA. When Recombinant Human VEGF is coated at 1.00 μg/mL (100 μL/well), it binds to Recombinant Human Thrombospondin-1. The ED50 for this binding is 100-600 ng/mL.
Endotoxin
<0.10 EU/μg of the protein by the LAL method.
Purity
>90%, by SDS-PAGE under reducing conditions and visualized by silver stain.
Storage
Use a manual defrost freezer and avoid repeated freeze-thaw cycles.
12 months from date of receipt, -20 to -70 centigrade as supplied.
1 month, 2 to 8 centigrade under sterile conditions after reconstitution.
3 months, -20 to -70 centigrade under sterile conditions after reconstitution.
Reconstitution
Reconstitute at 100 μg/mL in sterile PBS.
