Product Overview
Recombinant human TLR3, fused to His-tag at Cterminus, was expressed in insect cell and purified by using conventional chromatography techniques.
Description
TLR3, also known as toll-like receptor 3, is a member of the toll-like receptor family which plays a fundamental role in pathogen recognition and activation of innate immunity. It is innate immune receptors for sensing microbial molecules and damage-associated molecular patterns released from host cells. It recognizes dsRNA and activation of the receptor induces the activation of NF-kappaB and the production of type I interferons (IFNs). Its signaling activation is associated with ischemic preconditioning-induced protection against brain ischemia and attenuation of reactive astrogliosis. It is most abundantly expressed in placenta and pancreas, and is restricted to the dendritic subpopulation of the leukocytes.
