Recombinant Mouse CD28 Protein (Lys21-Lys149), C-hFc and 6×His-tagged
Product Description
Cat
IMP-10384
Official Symbol
Cd28
Product Overview
Recombinant Mouse CD28 Fc Chimera protein (Lys21-Lys149) with a Human IgG1 (Pro100-Lys330) Fc tag and 6×His tag at C-terminus was expressed in Mouse myeloma cell line.
Description
The protein encoded by this gene is essential for T-cell proliferation and survival, cytokine production, and T-helper type-2 development. Several alternatively spliced transcript variants encoding different isoforms have been found for this gene.
Expression System
Mouse myeloma cell line
Species
Mouse
Tag
C-hFc and 6×His
Predicted N Terminal
Lys21
Form
Lyophilized from a 0.2 μm filtered solution in PBS with BSA as a carrier protein.
Molecular Mass
Predicted Molecular Mass: 52 kDa (monomer)
SDS-PAGE: 60 kDa, reducing conditions
Protein length
Lys21-Lys149
Bio-activity
Measured by its ability to inhibit IL-2 secretion by stimulated Jurkat human acute T cell leukemia cells. The ED50 for this effect is 0.3-1.2 μg/mL when stimulated with 1 μg/mL recombinant human B7-1 Fc Chimera in the presence of PHA.
Endotoxin
<0.10 EU/μg of the protein by the LAL method.
Purity
>97%, by SDS-PAGE under reducing conditions and visualized by silver stain.
Notes
Disulfide-linked homodimer
Storage
Use a manual defrost freezer and avoid repeated freeze-thaw cycles.
12 months from date of receipt, -20 to -70 centigrade as supplied.
1 month, 2 to 8 centigrade under sterile conditions after reconstitution.
3 months, -20 to -70 centigrade under sterile conditions after reconstitution.
Reconstitution
Reconstitute at 400 μg/mL in sterile PBS containing at least 0.1% human or bovine serum albumin.
