Recombinant Mouse CD83 Protein (Met22-Ala134), C-hFc-tagged
Product Description
Cat
IMP-10309
Official Symbol
Cd83
Product Overview
Recombinant Mouse CD83 protein (Met22-Ala134) with a Human IgG1 (Pro100-Lys330) Fc tag C-terminus was expressed in Spodoptera frugiperda, Sf 21 cells.
Description
The protein encoded by this gene is a single-pass type I membrane protein and member of the immunoglobulin superfamily of receptors. The encoded protein may be involved in the regulation of antigen presentation. A soluble form of this protein can bind to dendritic cells and inhibit their maturation. Three transcript variants encoding different isoforms have been found for this gene.
Expression System
Sf 21 cells
Species
Mouse
Tag
C-hFc
Predicted N Terminal
Met22
Form
Lyophilized from a 0.2 μm filtered solution in PBS.
Molecular Mass
Predicted Molecular Mass: 39.1 kDa (monomer)
SDS-PAGE: 52 kDa, reducing conditions
Protein length
Met22-Ala134
Bio-activity
Measured by the ability of the immobilized protein to support the adhesion of human monocyte-derived dendritic cells. When 5 × 10^4 cells/well are added to mouse CD83/Fc Chimera coated plates (2.5 μg/mL with 100 μL/well), approximately 50-75% will adhere after 1 hour incubation at room temperature. Optimal dilutions should be determined by each laboratory for each application.
Endotoxin
<0.10 EU/μg of the protein by the LAL method.
Purity
>95%, by SDS-PAGE under reducing conditions and visualized by silver stain.
Notes
Disulfide-linked homodimer
