Recombinant extracellular domain (Met 1-Arg 217) of mouse FGGR2B (NP_001070657.1) as fused with a c-terminal polyhistidine tagged AVI tag at the C-terminus. The expressed protein was biotinylated in vivo by the Biotin-Protein ligase (BirA enzyme) which is co-expressed.

Description

The protein encoded by this gene is a low affinity receptor for the Fc region of immunoglobulin gamma complexes. The encoded protein is involved in the phagocytosis of immune complexes and in the regulation of antibody production by B-cells. Variations in this gene may increase susceptibilty to systemic lupus erythematosus (SLE). Several transcript variants encoding different isoforms have been found for this gene.

The secreted recombinant mouse FGGR2B consists of 212 amino acids and has a predicted molecular mass of 23.9 kDa. In SDS-PAGE under reducing conditions, the apparent molecular mass of rm FGGR2B is approximately 38-43 kDa due to glycosylation.
