Recombinant Porcine PECAM1 Protein (Gln28-Lys602), C-6×His-tagged
Product Description
Cat
IMP-9762
Official Symbol
PECAM1
Product Overview
Recombinant Porcine CD31/PECAM-1 protein (Gln28-Lys602) with a C-terminal 6×His tag was expressed in Mouse myeloma cell line.
Description
The protein encoded by this gene is found on the surface of platelets, monocytes, neutrophils, and some types of T-cells, and makes up a large portion of endothelial cell intercellular junctions. The encoded protein is a member of the immunoglobulin superfamily and is likely involved in leukocyte migration, angiogenesis, and integrin activation.
Expression System
Mouse myeloma cell line
Species
Porcine
Tag
C-6×His
Predicted N Terminal
No results obtained: Gln28 predicted
Form
Lyophilized from a 0.2 μm filtered solution in PBS.
Molecular Mass
Predicted Molecular Mass: 65 kDa
SDS-PAGE: 100-115 kDa, reducing conditions
Protein length
Gln28-Lys602
Bio-activity
Measured by its ability of the immobilized protein to support the adhesion of Jurkat human acute T cell leukemia cells. When 8 x 104 cells/well are added to PECAM-1 coated plates (4 μg/mL, 100 μL/well), approximately 45-65% will adhere after 10-20 minutes at 37 centigrade. Optimal dilutions should be determined by each laboratory for each application.
Endotoxin
<0.01 EU/μg of the protein by the LAL method.
Purity
>95%, by SDS-PAGE visualized with Silver Staining and quantitative densitometry by Coomassie Blue Staining.
Storage
Use a manual defrost freezer and avoid repeated freeze-thaw cycles.
12 months from date of receipt, -20 to -70 centigrade as supplied.
1 month, 2 to 8 centigrade under sterile conditions after reconstitution.
3 months, -20 to -70 centigrade under sterile conditions after reconstitution.
Reconstitution
Reconstitute at 100 μg/mL in sterile PBS.
