IMP-9474
Official Symbol
Il6
Product Overview
Recombinant rat Il6, fused to His-tag at C-terminus, was expressed in insect cell and purified by using conventional chromatography techniques.
Description
Il6, also known as interleukin 6, is an alpha-helical phosphorylated and glycosylated cytokine. This protein is important roles in the acute phase reaction, inflammation, hematopoiesis, bone metabolism and cancer progression. Also, it can function as an anti-inflammatory molecule, as in skeletal muscle where it is secreted in response to exercise In addition, it enhances hematopoietic stem cell proliferation and the differentiation of Th17 cells, memory B cells, and plasma cells.
